His Eye Is On the Sparrow...

Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely,
And long for heav'n and home,
When Jesus is my portion,
My constant Friend is He;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free;
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

"Let not your heart be troubled,
"His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness,
I lose my doubts and fears,
Tho' by the path He leadeth,
But one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

Whenever I am tempted,
Whenever clouds arise,
When song gives place to sighing,
When hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him;
From care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know...
He watches me.

Hola mi querida Sofia, :)
Yes, I just stumbled upon your most beautiful blog...beautiful family and incredible photos. Your ability to capture your day with such vivid words, thoughts and snapshots into your life are both inspiring and precious. I just spent the last hour going through your blog...makes me so proud of the life you and Matt have created together. This last entry reminded me of your wonderful poem titled "Faith" in Spanish class. I still have the copy and think that you definitely have found it and live it on a daily basis. Much love to your family, Sra. Foster

Hi Sra., Oh my gosh I'm so excited you found me! Hopefully you'll visit again! I would love to see a copy of that poem I wrote long ago, if you ever get a chance would you send me a copy? What a long time ago that seems... Well, it's so good to hear from you! Take care.
