Through A Childs Eyes....

What a wonderful thing to enjoy Christmas through a childs eyes............
A wonderful Christmas was had by all. We celebrated Meritt's 1st Christmas, enjoyed seeing Bella light up with delight in the Christmas season. Spent time with our little family that is near, and missed our family that is too far. Someday I look forward to a Christmas that our families near and far can all be together! We hope you had a wonderful day in your celebrations!

Merry Christmas!

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree:
the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.
~Burton Hillis
May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace,
The gladness of Christmas give you hope,
The warmth of Christmas grant you love.

Christmas Tradition

Every year since we have been married (maybe even before we were married) we have gone out to our local tree farm and cut down our Christmas tree. We ride the tractor back to the feild, hunt and hunt for the "perfect" tree, ride back drink hot cocoa and eat cookies, and warm up by the wood stove. It's even more fun now with kiddos (except for the occasional cry or whine). It was cold this year... almost cold enough to snow, but we didn't get quite that lucky. We did get a very nice tree, I will share some pictures of it all decorated soon! I think this Christmas tradition may be my very favorite!! Happy tree trimming at your house.

Gigi

We celebrated my grandma's 86th birthday yesterday. I feel very blessed that my girls get to know her. She has Alzheimer's, and isn't quite the grandma of my memories, and they may never know the fun loving, adventurous, brave, spiritual, loving woman I grew up admiring and loving, but none the less they are getting to spend time, and that is priceless! She is part of some of my fondest memories, and was my best friend growing up. I always knew she was never too busy for a visit, or a helper, or a friend, or a tag-a-long. She taught me more about life than I could ever thank her for, and I will hold her forever tightly in my heart.
